Rhosyn Farm Produce
Whether you can name the brand when you see its memorable logo or not, it’s odds on that you’re already familiar with Rhosyn Farm Produce and have likely been a customer of theirs.
Situated in the countryside north of Carmarthen town, the farm was taken over by Neil and Emma Rose in 2006 who, despite having no background in farming, found that the life and all it entails came naturally to them and that it showed in their tasty produce. From just a few animals and a monthly stall grew a prosperous business that focuses on the high living standards for the native and rare breeds that they keep; always outdoor-reared, always free range and always cared for and kept to exceptional welfare standards.
Their farm-to-fork ethos is completed by their own on-site processing unit; their 5-star equipment and services are available to other meat-rearers and they now even offer training to those who want to butcher their own livestock.
They’ve become a regular feature at events all over Wales, offering delicious street food including the high-quality burgers and sausages you might expect but also bringing fresh, hot cawl to the streets along with all the cuts you’d expect from an expert local butcher. What started as a smallholding with a few pigs is now a thriving, award-winning business offering the very best pork, lamb, goat, beef, game and even buffalo. They also cater for events and welcome you to the other side of their business too: farm visits and talks are regularly available and allow guests to see the exemplary conditions afforded to their livestock.
Rhosyn Farm have been awarded the “Great Taste” accolade along with being a certified ‘Rare Welsh Bit’ and won Meat Supplier Of the Year In Wales not once, but twice consecutively and are the current holder of the title. Their award-winning speciality sausages are favourites across south Wales and beyond and their faggots, blood puddings and haggis make for fantastic, hearty dinners. Frequent winners at the RWAS Builth Wells, Llandeilo Festival of Senses and food festivals year in, year out secures their pedigree as exceptional and responsible farmers who are making the most of all the county has to offer and who supply the best quality meats with completely traceable provenance.
